Lynn Swanson


Lynn holds a BFA in dance from the University of Michigan and a MA in English/​Creative Writing from Michigan State University. She won top prizes in fiction and poetry as a graduate student and has been published in a variety of literary journals. She won an honorable mention from John Ashbery and publication in The Anthology of New England Writers for her poem, Quilt. Several of her poems have been commissioned by the Detroit Dance Collective. Summer Dance, a middle-reader novel, won a Silver Medal in the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. Her newest work, To My Mother: Winter Circus, will be published by Finishing Line Press in February 2018.
